Paige(Age 10)
Paige has a smile that can light up a room. She is quiet at first, but give her a few minutes to warm up and her bubbly personality comes shining through. Paige loves helping out around the house. She will help out with the dishes, cooking dinner, and setting a table. Paige likes to be outside and play tag with her friends. She also likes her quiet time where she can just sit and read a book or watch her favorite TV show, SpongeBob Squarepants. Paige would love to become a dentist when she is older and would like a family to help her learn more about this career.

Paige would love to hang out with her family at the beach or even take a walk in the park. When Paige was asked what family meant to her, she said, “Family are people who will be nice to me, will not yell, and will take care of me and my brother properly.” Paige would like a family to know that she is working hard on bettering herself emotionally.

Conner is a very active and sweet little boy. He would love to play outside with his new family and go swimming. He really enjoys doing cannonballs, so he may get you wet! He has a funny personality and an awesome imagination. Conner may ask you to play cops and robbers, as it is one of his favorite things to play when he's outside. His favorite TV show will be Paw Patrol and his favorite animals are dogs and cats. He loves all trucks and cars as they fascinate him. Conner would love to ride in a monster truck as that is one of his wishes. Conner has expressed an interest in becoming a police officer when he is older.

Conner would like to spend a lot of time with his future family whether it is sitting on the couch watching TV or going to the beach. When asked what Conner thought family means he stated, “Family means that someone will love and take care of me. They will play trucks with me.” Conner said that he would like a family to know that he is working on sharing his toys.

Paige and Conner would love to have animals in the home; it helps them with their coping strategies when feeling upset or frustrated. They enjoy playing and cuddling with them.

It is very important that they remain in contact with their older sister, whether it would be phone calls, visits, or video chat.

Paige and Conner are not yet legally free for adoption; however, when a permanent resource is identified, the county will enact final steps to terminate parental rights.

Families must have an approved Family Profile (home study) to adopt a child. Only those families with approved profiles will be considered by the child’s caseworker in the county children and youth agency with custody of the child.
The information is given by PAE based solely on the statement of the family that they are approved to adopt. Families in Pennsylvania without an approved Family Profile are directed to contact 1-800-585-SWAN1-800-585-SWAN to pursue an agency in their geographic area. Families living outside of Pennsylvania are encouraged to work with an agency in their state to prepare the profile.
