Shayla(Age 7)
Ricky is a sweet, loving, and helpful young boy who loves technology. In school, he is working hard and learning how to become a better reader. He responds well to being in a structured environment and loves being praised, especially with stickers. Ricky is learning how to swim and loves to be in the pool. He also likes crafts and Monster High toys. Ricky is looking forward to finding his forever family.

Shayla is an adorable little girl who loves to dance. She just started ballet classes and loves them! She is shy at first, but eventually opens up and is quite talkative. She needs help with reading and staying focused in school, but she tries very hard everyday to stay on task. Some of Shayla’s favorite things to eat are all types of fruits and of course, anything chocolate. She is a “girly girl” and loves the colors pink and purple. Shayla likes to be snuggled and often helps her foster mother with the younger children. She stated that she wants a forever family who will be nice to her and her brother.

Ricky and Shayla need a committed family who has structure, patience, and most of all love. These children are looking for their forever home. Could you be the family these children need?

They are not legally free for adoption, however when a permanent resource is identified the county will enact final steps to terminate parental rights.

Families must have an approved Family Profile (home study) to adopt a child. Only those families with approved profiles will be considered by the child’s caseworker in the county children and youth agency with custody of the child.
The information is given by PAE based solely on the statement of the family that they are approved to adopt. Families in Pennsylvania without an approved Family Profile are directed to contact 1-800-585-SWAN1-800-585-SWAN to pursue an agency in their geographic area. Families living outside of Pennsylvania are encouraged to work with an agency in their state to prepare the profile.
